Full Description
This two-day course provides officers with a comprehensive understanding of armed engagements in and around vehicles. Students observe ballistic demonstrations, learn to maximize structural cover, and practice immediate action techniques for fighting from inside, exiting, and maneuvering around a vehicle. A dedicated flat range course of fire builds the positional shooting skills required for vehicle-based engagements. Training culminates in scenario driven drills that reinforce survivability, decision making, and operational readiness. Officers will receive statistical analysis provided by the FBI and LEOKA to better understand why they are applying the tactics instructed.


By the end of this 2-day course of instruction, officers will:

Objective1— Execute a flat range course of fire preparing officers for vehicle-based shooting positions  

Objective 2 — Demonstrate vehicle ballistic characteristics  

Objective 3 - Demonstrate the use of cover using vehicle pillars and structural components as temporary cover  

Objective 4 — Execute immediate actions when shooting through front glass  

Objective 5 — Demonstrate how to safely exit a vehicle under fire with pistol and rifle  

Objective 6 — Demonstrate how to fight effectively from the rear of the vehicle  

Objective 7 — Execute skills in scenario driven drills under stress  

Conclusion:
This 2-day course gives the officer a clean progression: Ballistic understanding, positional fundamentals, flat range skill building, vehicle-based engagements and scenario application.
